US Congress Protects Monsanto

This news about Monsanto and GMO's brings to mind a couple of things.
1. That a political party has the ability to ignore human rights laws or in fact any law they feel like, while they are in office. In Canada we have what is known as the "nothwithstanding clause". (look it up :) What it means is that no matter what laws are written to protect us from harm, if you have political power you can use these clauses to do whatever you want to do while you are in office.
And so long as the people maintain their complacency and keep on saying "oh well, that's the government, we can't do nothing about it" we will never be able to enforce the laws that were written for all our benefit.
I can't accept the complacency, and I don't understand why people keep saying we can't do anything about it, because in reality the government is really just our employee...we pay it's salary.....we control the flow of the money that gives them the power to act. We are supposed to be in charge.
Through our complacency we are failing to manage our business properly and by not acting as supervisors, and not correcting and/or replacing the "negligent" employee (government) who is ignoring policy and procedures and not doing their job we are letting our own business be destroyed, our business, meaning our country, our livelihood.
2. Number two, this report on Monsanto brings to mind a recent gmo research report that was posted in the media. The research document went on about how it was proven there is no extra nutritional value in gmo foods. that was the end of their research..i think the research as well as the media report was incomplete because it never talked about the substances that are put in the food to make it bigger...petro chems, hormones, genes, etc. So without all the information, the media report leaves a person with the impression that it's ok to eat the foods just don't expect any extra benefit...If we were told the whole story we would know that.... 1. the gmo foods have no extra nutritional value and ...2. we don't want to be eating the foods because the additives used to make them bigger will make us sick
And of course here is an interesting theory...picked from the brain of Brian..(more about him later).....
General response would probably be, "what if we took that corn of cob that is three times bigger than your average cob of corn and turned it into three times more clean fuel...? " ....but then Brian explained to me there are still petro chems in the food so not good idea to burn it in standard engines cause we would still be creating more pollution. It would make more sense if we reduce these emissions by converting our generators to run under the GEET technology first and then use the fuel :)
He went on to say that an even better idea would be to use GMO technology to produce food based bio resins that could replace the toxic VOC resins and hardners currently used in plastic and fiberglass manufacturing. Mix these bio based resins with hemp fibers to replace fiberglass when we make things such as panels for our cars and we get a good thing going. Search for "hemp lotus" or click Hemp Lotus to see a pretty cool use of hemp.
Yes, GMO still contains petro chems but prob about 80% less which means industrial workers making these plastic and fiber tough products using the bio based resins would benefit from a reduction of toxic exposure and risk in their working environments.
Once the plastics or panel products are made, the toxins are entombed in a solid form. At the end of life the plastics and panels could be reground and used as fertilzer on the same ground where the gmo plants were originally grown.
Using the GMO Technologies in a beneficial way such as this makes more sense than just using the toxic food to poison a bunch of people to reduce the population of the planet as seems to be the intention of many sad individuals.
